1. About Google Trusted Web Activity (TWA)
EDUPI is powered by Google Trusted Web Activity (TWA), which allows us to deliver a seamless web experience within an Android application. TWA ensures that the web app runs with full Chrome capabilities, including performance optimizations and security features.
Since EDUPI is a TWA-based app, it relies on Chrome for execution and follows Google's security and privacy guidelines.

- Biometric Authentication: We use your device's biometric capabilities (fingerprint, face recognition) for secure login. We do not store biometric data.
- Location Data: If granted permission, we may collect your device's location to provide location-based services.
- Mobile Number & Name: This data is used by the institution as per the information you provided during admission. We use it for the secure access of your ward's information updates.
2.2 Device & App Usage Data
- Camera Access: Used for QR code scanning, photo uploads, or video-related features.
- File Picker & Downloads: Enables document/file uploads and downloads within the app.
- Notifications: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send notifications about app updates and important alerts.
- Log & Diagnostic Data: We collect device-related data such as IP address, device model, OS version, app usage stats, and crash reports for troubleshooting.
